Jennifer Tao has never taken an art class at Princeton High School. You wouldn’t know that, however, by looking at her involvement in the arts at PHS. Numina Gallery, PHS’s student-run art gallery, currently features Tao’s work in the annual Senior Show.

Borough Councilman and local business owner Kevin Wilkes is hoping to serve as the first mayor of consolidated Princeton.  If elected, he said that maintaining efficiency in municipal services would be his top priority.

“My goal is to effectively implement the consolidation program to manage our community affairs as one New Princeton,” Wilkes said.  “There is a high level of expectation in our community with regards to our two forms of government, and as they merge into one Princeton there can be no let down in service delivery to our citizens.”

Kinnara® Ensemble, the noted chamber choir, will present “…and gone the next,” a choral reflection on change and loss.

This one hour concert will explore the ways choral music has served as a medium for expression of reaction to calamities such as sudden and unexpected loss. We venerate the victims of such events through the performance of pieces written to honor them.” Repertoire will include works by Mäntyjärvi, Byrd and MacMillan.

The Princeton based choir consists of 24 professional artists and is under the direction of JD Burnett

Taleb's talk is part of the School's "Economic Recovery: Perils, Politics and Possibilities" thematic lecture series. Sir Robert Watson, chair of the intergovernmental panel on climate change (IPCC) from 1997 to 2002, will speak at the Woodrow Wilson School on Monday, April 2, 2012, at 4:30 p.m. Watson's talk, titled, "Environment and Development Challenges: The Imperative to Act," is part of the School's "Energy and Environment" thematic lecture series. Watson is visiting the Wilson School as part of its "Leadership and Governance Program," which brings prominent policy makers to Princeton for a two to three day visit so that students can meet and learn from exemplary public leaders.

The Liechtenstein Institute on Self-Determination’s Program on Women in International Relations in cooperation with Princeton Against Sex Trafficking will convene a workshop on human trafficking March 30-31 on the Princeton University campus. The two day event will bring together policy makers, practitioners, activists, and academics to address the politics and economics of trafficking, the successes and limitations of on-the-ground interventions by NGOs, and ways to address the global problem of trafficking in the United States and abroad.
